Sachin Shah Safe Driver Pledge Program: Many precious lives have been lost due to unsafe driving, speeding, alcohol and not wearing seat-belts. According to National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration, seat-belts reduces risk of fatality by 45% in front seat passengers. 32% of all traffic fatalities in 2002 resulted from speeding. 55% of victims were not wearing a seatbelt in 2004 when a fatality occurred. The Foundation is launching Sachin Shah Safe Driver Pledge Program - please participate and become a SAFE DRIVER! SSCF launched this program for drivers of all ages at the end of March 2007. The program promotes and encourages drivers to pledge to specific actions that are encouraged for a Safe Driver by the state DMV, California Highway Patrol and AAA. Pledging to become a Safe Driver is the first step to put in action behavior that could lead to the safety of your loved ones and yourself. A mentor will encourage and promote the program to other drivers and get commitments from them to pledge to become a Safe Driver. We are looking for Mentors from all over the United States. Please use the Contact Us page if you would like to become a Mentor. We will send you the details. How to Participate:1) Read and understand the 5 pledges listed on the form. 2) Check the pledges that you commit to follow. 3) Submit this Pledge Form to SSCF online. 4) Once we receive your pledge form, we will contact you to distribute the pledge card (sample shown below). You can keep this laminated Pledge Card on your key chain or place it on the dashboard as a reminder of the commitment you’ve made. 5) If you wish to get the Pledge Card sent by mail, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to SSCF at the above address. Thank you for participating and becoming a SAFE DRIVER! It will save LIVES! The Pledges: ![]()
